After a character from your wardrobe of unstoried souls is chosen to lead the readers through your newest project, time must be allowed for some tweaking.
However robust your newly crowned protagonist may already be, he or she must be fattened up on the flavor of the story before being dumped into the plot.
This prep time is key and the accompanying work delicate. But take your time, the rewards will be well worth the tinkering.
