“Somebody kills somebody to keep the secret.”
A brainstorming session that starts off with such an insipid line of blah really has no right to turn amazing. It truly doesn’t.
But it did.
I wrote that line on the top of a blank sheet of paper and somehow ended up with a doozy of a Cozy Mystery plot chin-high in rural Southern culture.
My linguist sleuth is going to love these “good” folks.
Bottom line: The writing process is inexplicable. Don’t shun bad starts.
