Heard but not seen.
That’s how Agatha Christie, the grand dame of the Cozy Mystery, seemed to play most of her supporting actors. A sentence or two of physical description and little more. Spoken words and misdeeds richly painting their characters. Quick, concise and magically memorable.
Unfortunately, I am wordy. Verbose to the absurd when it comes to physical attributes. I am trying to curb this habit… but failing.
Somewhere, I fear, Dame Christie frowns upon me.
