I always try to keep an endgame in sight.
In most cases, this is the height of silliness.
When not under contract or associated with a well-established literary agency, an author is usually just winging it… especially when turning to a new genre.
So, when you’re still in the weeds of writing a book it’s hard to keep an eye to the sky as to where the finished manuscript might take you. You feel silly and dumb… and hopeful.
Hopeful.
That’s worth the crick in your silly neck.
Until tomorrow…
