A bare light bulb lit in the dark.

Not only did I punch out my FanSided article nearly 12 hours early on Monday, I played electrician.

Yeah, with like real electricity and stuff.

Hurricane Michael killed my front porch light in October. Thankfully, the corpse maintained its looks until last week, when it threw itself off my house in a final act of self-cremation.

Yesterday, I replaced it.

Electricity and I have a strained relationship. But we put our differences aside Monday and worked toward a common solution of light on the stoop.

Yes, I exist solely on the small accomplishments of life… but I do exist. And that’s something to smile about.

Until tomorrow…
