Think Narrow

Statement of purpose.

That’s what the graduate school application wants of me next.

Thankfully, I’m sure they want a narrow answer. You know, why an MFA in creative writing? That sort of thing.

Got it. No problem.

But…

If they’re wanting me to take a broad brush to the statement of purpose question, well—

Yeah.

That gives me the hysterical giggles, too.

Bottom line: Think narrow when broad scares you to death.
