For the Sake of Mystery

I shed a partner, yesterday.

Jettisoned my sleuth’s “significant other” right out of Chapter One for the sake of mystery.

Oh, he will pop up by Chapter Four, but there will be no clue as to his existence, or significance, until then.

Keeping secrets from the audience is hard for a blabbermouth like me. I need the practice.

I just hope the dear man will hold no grudge.
